About CPTID:
The Coalition for Patent and Trademark Information Dissemination (CPTID) is a group of private sector companies that provide value-added services for patent and trademark information users. These companies have been investing in and building efficient, high quality patent and trademark search services for more than 50 years. For patent search purposes, their services cover both U.S. and foreign patents, pre-grant publications, and non-patent literature; and for trademark searches, U.S. pending and registered marks, as well as state, common law, and foreign marks.
Our Mission:
The coalition focuses on issues such as data quality, licensing, availability, currency, historic data and development of IP information. By maintaining an open dialogue with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the rest of the U.S. federal government, CPTID is able to learn at an early stage of impending legal and procedural changes which will have implications for services they provide to their customers, allowing members to plan accordingly.
